  • Hot air balloon ride
  • Bicycle tour of Tuscany
  • Dali museum in St. Pete
  • Chihuly collection at the Morean Arts Center in St. Pete
  • Deep sea fishing trip
  • Take a one-day photography class
  • Airboat ride
  • Visit Chicago – never been!
  • Check out one of the Hard Rock casinos in Florida
  • Snorkel with manatees
  • Paddleboarding (its all the craze in Orlando, after all)
  • Try bubble tea (this one’s for Christie Gregovich)
  • Try butterbeer at Wizarding World of Harry Potter (been there, but never tried it!)
  • Rock climbing (whether indoor or out)
  • Ride the new Cheetah coaster at Busch Gardens
  • Brazilian bikini wax
  • Ask out a random attractive guy
  • Participate in a flash mob
  • Homemade sushi (everyone realizes I hate sushi, right?)
  • Brew my own beer
  • Police ride-along (Marc Recca…arrange this!)
  • Fashion photo shoot (go ahead and schedule, Walter – it’ll be good for a laugh)
  • Fly an airplane
  • Karaoke at Big Daddy’s
  • Co-DJ a college radio show
  • Retro 80′s rollerskating night at Semoran Skateway

  • Do an entire day “on the cheap” or practically free in Orlando
  • Take a photo field trip – a day in one location capturing something specific or themed

Meet Amanda

I’m the type of person who finds complete comfort in repetition. Not only will I dine at the same restaurants and coffee houses, but I’ll even order the same item every time. I even want to visit the same destinations again and again.

In order to break free from habit – and have a little fun – I’ve tasked myself with trying new experiences. They can be anything. A new destination, activity, book, movie, restaurant, bar, fashion, etc.

And since I haven’t been a complete bore my whole life, I’ll share flashbacks to some of my best experiences from the past. And don’t worry…there will be no cheating. The flashbacks won’t count towards the new experiences count.

Maybe my “adventures in trying” will inspire you to give new experiences a chance. But mostly, I just hope they add a little humor to your day.
